A few things worth knowing.
What does an ATS compatibility checker do?
AI assesses six areas: contact details, experience structure, dates and chronology, education and qualifications, skills readability, and text integrity and reading order. It suggests up to five prioritized improvements supported by examples from your resume. The preview helps you spot missing details or an unexpected reading order before you apply.
Will this tell me if I’ll get an interview?
No. This assesses ATS readability, not your match to a job or an employer’s hiring criteria. Different applicant tracking systems can interpret the same document differently.
Can it read my scanned resume?
Yes. Upload a PDF and AI can inspect the scanned pages, even when the text preview is empty. Blurry or low-resolution scans may still be difficult to read.
Is the checker free?
Yes. You can see your results without signing up. Import your content to open it directly in Jofibo’s editor. You can create a free account afterward. Some Jofibo features require a paid plan.
What happens to my resume?
The checker sends your PDF, Word document or pasted text to our AI provider for readability feedback, without creating an account or saving the check in Jofibo. Word files use temporary file uploads, which we request to delete after analysis; the provider’s processing and retention policies also apply. The text preview is separate from document analysis. A completed report is held in an encrypted token in your browser, valid for email delivery for 30 minutes. If you request the report by email, we save your email address, consent text, request time and delivery status, and send the PDF through our email provider. The report may include excerpts from your resume. This does not subscribe you to marketing emails. If you click the import button, your resume is processed by Jofibo’s resume importer and saved as a resume. Read our privacy policy for more information.
